Colossians 1:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.
Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control..."

Well stated Carl,

2 Timothy: . 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Mashiach Yeshua with eternal glory.

Our pursuit as you point out is to reflect The Son to others as He has reflected The Father to us! And we never know who, where, or when this may be so our objective is to be ready to reflect this light always. A tall order indeed but this is our purpose.

Bless us Lord so that we may be purposeful!

(dioko-hard-pressing, diligent effort with the goal of obtaining)

Love it brother Skip.. what a great word for today! You know the drill.. work hard, play hard..live fast, die young and leave a beautiful memory.. our plan for today..let's pursue the American dream! let's pursue happiness!! more possessions! more prestige! more power!! more pleasure!! You can see the word (dioko) in action at the sports arenas when our team scores! Fists in the air, pumping hard.. hooray for our side.. go team!!

but what about the Christ? where does He fit in to all this? What are His thoughts written in His words in a book of instruction He has written?

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12.14

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

And the words He spoke unto His disciples: "follow me"..

more about Jesus would I know.. more of His grace to others show.. more of His saving fullness see.. more of His love Who died for me..
