An Update on Delores

Bob Gorelik writes:

Dolores is doing pretty well considering everything she’s been through. I mentioned before that she is on a “chemo-break.” It’s been very good, but it’s only because she had a “GI-bleed” near the end of December. She is now trying to regain her lost weight and strength.

The good news is that her “tumor markers” are now down to 24 – “normal” is less than 36 at at one time her number was at 5,280.

The tumor is now considered “inactive” but she still needs a few more treatments to destroy it completely. And because of the risk of another “bleed” she is going to have a surgical procedure to eliminate part of her spleen – it should significantly boost her platelet levels and make it possible to tolerate two or three more rounds of chemo.

Also, she is now officially “retired” – she had to let her health insurance practice go – she just couldn’t keep up with it anymore and as a result we will be moving back to our home in the Sierra Foothills. Fortunately, we will retain the same oncology team of doctors/nurses at UCSF and will come to the city every couple of months to check on her condition.

Baruch HaShem! The LORD has been very gracious – she has a “terminal” disease but it’s being managed and LORD willing, she will live for many, many years to come! Thnx for keeping her (us) in your thoughts and prayers.

Wonderful news indeed! Thank you so much, Skip, for posting this.
HalleluYAH!
Chemo destroys healthy cells as well 🙁 Drinking a good brand of Vit C, in powdered form, a few times daily, and, cut up fresh lemon grass (abundantly grown in Israel) steeped as tea to drink, as with fresh water, can destroy cancerous cells too.
Delores has to be on lots of broth to strengthen her health and immunity.

Great news about Delores.

Ester, I agree completely with you. I took about 20-25 grams of Vitamin C, including, liposomal c, as well as organically grown lemons, ground into a powder, including the skin, during my chemo sessions. Broth has been used for so long, and so effectively, I think we all have simply forgotten how good it is.
