NEWS about my son, Michael

Several days ago I asked for prayer for my son, Michael.  I was in Europe when I heard that he was admitted to the hospital with blood clots.  At the time I didn’t know how serious it was, but now I have learned that he had blood clots in both lungs and was in great pain even breathing.  Upon admittance, the doctors determined that he might need surgery.  He was given medication and spent the night, awaiting final analysis in the morning.  That’s when all of  you got my message and started praying.  Wonderfully, the next morning they decided that surgery was not necessary.  In fact, the doctor said that his recovery was “remarkable,” and in two days he was released and is now home recovering.  He has a long way to go, but the crisis seems to have passed.  I talking with him briefly yesterday and he told me that he could definitely feel the result of prayer.

Thank you, all.

I’m so glad to hear the good news. There’s nothing like being half way around the world knowing your son is in serious condition and in the hospital! Asking people to pray is always the right thing to do. There is less to be concerned about when others are praying with you about your concerns. Getting good updates like this has a way of lifting your spirit too, especially when you can’t be by his side. It frees you up to focus on what you are doing and to enjoy it. At least that’s how I felt when my son was in the hospital when I was in Israel. I’ll keep praying for your son’s full recovery!

Praise YHVH! We can all, including Michael (because he’s breathing better), breathe a sigh of relief. My petitions to our Mighty El will continue and I will be asking that He sooth Michael while he worships the King of kings. I pray that your heart is comforted day by day, hour by hour, Skip.
