Is this going to be recorded? I would love to watch the debate but I live outside of DC so being there isn’t going to happen.

Xavier

We hope to stream it live here: https://zoom.us/j/8100152669

And uploaded later here: https://www.youtube.com/user/AbrahamicMovement/videos

Derek S

Thank you!

Maureen

I have the same question. Can you please record the session as this question comes up all the time and I would love to hear all that is going to be presented and discussed. THANK YOU in advance!!

Mark Parry

When I inquired of YHVH how I might best understand the idea of the “trinity” in relation to the Shema I then was lead to observe the Sun. I observed that the Sun is a single entity that we express in language as having distinctive manifestations in relation to how we individually perceive or experience it . Yet these linguistic analogies clearly reflect what is still a singularity. I feel the warmth of the sun on my skin (Ruach). My life is illuminated by the light of the Sun (Word/Messiah). These aspects are all from a singular source of power, presence or position (YHVH). That’s my current understanding for whatever that is worth to anyone! Shalom…..

Laurita Hayes

Mark, are you trying to say that the sun is an experience? What, you heretic! Its a thing and you know it!

Mark Parry

Well glad to join that ever growing noble band of the thought and faithful; it’s a thing yes but I do experience warmth from it and see things fare more clearly when it’s doing it’s work. But this is perhaps not the place to be considering things or thought’s but wait for the sages to impart the wisdom. Is live streaming an option? Anyone looked into that?

David Hankins

PLEASE!!! if possible record the debate so those of us who can’t attend, can have the pleasure of hearing words of wisdom from men who are respected for their faith and devotion to YHVH.

Michael C

Yes, please, please, please record his sessions!

Question, Skip.

Is this a real “debate” or is it just a “lecture” ? I ask because I’ve seen another actual “debate”, which included Mr. Buzzard on the anti-trinity position, and he got his rear handed to him. Both in theology and from a textual-grammatical perspective. I know he doesn’t even think Yeshua is Deity. Buzzard says He’s just a man.

I would really like to actually witness such an event in which, real “scholars”, who are knowledgeable in the languages, biblical text, and say Yeshua is the Messiah, could come together and have a real debate. I know that would be a very tall order but I’d still like to see it. Typically this topic is only brought to us via one side or the other voicing their opinions.

Mark Randall

I happen to know a couple people that are qualified, IMO. And I have presented it to them. They are both instructors and classes are in full force right now. However, they said they would discuss the possibility and a feasible date. February probably won’t work because of class scheduling conflicts.

Off the top of my head, though, I would love to see an invite sent to Dr. Brown and Dr. James White, That would be one for the books for sure. Both are biblical language linguists, Hebrew and Greek respectively, and it wouldn’t be their first rodeo with the Deity of Yeshua or Mr. Buzzard either.

If something is a debate then to me it means there would already be opposing position people invited.

See, what I don’t understand is why these positions aren’t submitted for more of a colleague review and responses rather than in lecture form. Iron sharpens iron so to speak.

Dan Kraemer

I agree, debates might be fun to hooray on your team but they don’t allow one to seriously study both (or more) sides of the argument and study the Scriptures to see if such things are so. Only then is one likely to change one’s paradigm.

I think Craig has gone out of his way to show evidence that Yeshua is the Word and through Him all was created. I know much more can be said in favor of his argument but I’m waiting for someone to show me, at length, why He is not.

Mark Randall

I agree with you on the excellent evidence presented by Craig. But, I’ve seen some excellent debates that have helped tremendously with regard to studying to see if it is so. If the debaters are knowledgeable, respectful, and well presented, if the moderator is unbias, if the questions are well thought out, then they can be extremely enlightening. I’d call them more of a Midrash than debate.

There’s a big difference between a debate and an argument. Many messianic’s may not have had the good pleasure to sit in on a passionate Midrash before. They can be very intense and present awesome thoughtfulness to the word of God.

Craig

I just watched all three parts to this debate, ‘Is Jesus God?’ (which is the central question in the debate regarding 1 vs. 3-in-1), between unitarians Buzzard and Joseph Good vs. trinitarians James White and Michael Brown. I think the pro-Trinity side won the debate, hands down. As I saw it, there were a lot of questions posed from the trinitarian side that went unanswered, or inadequately answered, on the unitarian side:

Hi Skip — it might be helpful to have this conference info on your calendar. I know you are not technically the speaker — though I can hardly imagine you will stand silent 🙂 — but you ARE hosting, and from that perspective, might it be appropriate to add this to the calendar? Some newer readers might not recall Sir Anthony’s name and consequently be unable to do a site search to find the date and location.

bcp

I, for one, have Sir Anthony Buzzard’s name burnt into my memory memes. No chance i will forget his name or his topic.

How are you doing, Suzanne, nice to see you popping around again. I hope your back is behaving as it should.

It would be interesting if the following is debated: Did Jesus Die fully? Or did he die physically but his soul and Spirit did not die? And then, If those who disobey God sin, and their punishment is eternal hell, why did Jesus who was the sacrificial lamb on whom all the sins of the world where put, why didn’t he go to hell, eternally?

Craig

In the NT we find the word phantasma, translated “ghost”, “spirit”, in the account of Jesus walking on the water (Mt 14:26; Mk 6:49), and when Yeshua appeared to the disciples after the Resurrection (Lk 24:37). In addition, Josephus uses this term in reference to the person with whom Jacob wrestled (Antiquities of the Jews, 1.331,333).
