Beautiful photos. I love the color contrasts. It’s heavenly living up on the mountain top in the clouds.

LaVaye,
I am so glad to see your comment. I have been wondering how you are doing. How is your health? What is keeping you busy nowadays? Blessings to you, sweet sister.

Gayle, I appreciate you asking about me. Life goes on even after losing my spouse, Edward of near 61 years. He left his earthly home in June 02, 2013, and entered his heavenly home; so I am “alone” but not of course REALLY ALONE, the Heavenly Father has stepped into my husband’s place time and time again in my behalf after

Gayle, think I pushed a wrong button–sorry it went before I finished. Will try to pick the above back up: I have always been a worker, a student always, so when I say that I have never worked any harder than since Ed became ill and died, be assured that is not an overstatement, and mostly in seas that I had never sailed in before! I am
almost through the current phrase of settling an estate, but not through trying to hold a 1929 large home “together” with roofers being charlatans, and recommended by own insurance Co. who did not even call or try to help us, and the roof leaking with gushing rains, where it had never leaked before. This was a $17,000 roof, supposed to be 30 years, but they refused to give me papers for a guarantee of the roof .

Our former attorney retiring about the time Ed died, and three new ones buying into the Firm, and two of those one at a time; have left and sold out their partnership to other new attorneys, and the third one never even appeared in our town. I had small claim’s judge recommend the only attorney in town that he thought would help me . When I got through to his secretary, she was extremely knowledgeable and said she thought he would. However; she would have him call me to say that. He did call me but said he could not take my case; I was so stunned I did not speak; silence; then he added, “Oh it is not because you do not have a valid case, because you do! but because I am already representing this Roof Co. in another lawsuit. iT WOULD BE A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
This Roofing Co. had been in our town only about a year and half, from another State. So I began to search for someone to fix the leaks, one was simply that the facial boards around the chimney had been removed and not put back. And on and on. But I had to pay the second roofing co. also. This last attorney( the good one ran for County Judge of another CO. where he lived, he won the judge’s seat, and can’t take private clients now. So ?????
I write all this not to throw it off on you, but in hopes that people will realize that our legal systems are not what they should be. And perhaps along with God’s Word on this which I have read many times, it will help someone, especially in their old age. I often hear people say so glibly,”oh,well I will bring a lawsuit, or why don’t you bring a lawsuit.”
But as we study His Words written for our benefit, we are reminded that ” IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATIONS, BUT Jesus said, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.”
So let us not become bitter, and deny God’s Word, but press on in the Word, continuing to strive for attaining what is —–.
That is where I am, but this week, our only son and daughter-in-law from Tucson, will arrive at the airport in Austin 75 miles away,, and rent a car be here, to take me to one of our eight grandchildren’s wedding in Austin on SAT & Sunday evening. She just graduated this past Sat. from a Dallas Chiropractor College, with the word, “Dr” in front of her name along with her finance, And so most of our large family of just mine and Ed’s will be gathered from across the nation for the wedding. And we rejoice with the Bride & Groom in this milestone of accomplishments! And give thanks to the Lord for All that has happened in their lives, and all of ours.
( Gayle, I am a seamstress, and actually I have recycled a 40 year old dress that I have worn the past two weddings, and will wear it. Along with a silk Punjab dress that I made about seven years ago for a reception for my husband. It is three pieces, and I copied it from something I had gotten when we lived in Lahore, W. Pakistan fifty years ago. I will wear it the day of the Rehearsal dinner. I have always appreciated fine fabrics, and designs, in clothes and home décor. Two of our three daughters are degreed in Art Majors.
So I am blessed so much even with all the difficulties that I wrote about above. I wanted to voice both of these things to you. and anyone who reads this. With the Love of our Creator of the Earth, skies, seas, and on and on and on.— L.B.
