Prayer Request

To Roderick and your dear wife and family, (what a great e-mail address)–

— Recall in I Peter 4:12, where Peter writes, (this time using NIV) “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you, 13. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.”—— Now, I understand that this baby’s illness may not seem like you are suffering for Christ or for being a Chrisitan, and yet I have drawn comfort and strength from it through the years.
When different versions translate these versed, one reads, do not be surprised when the firey trials come upon you , and my response is ” but we are surprised”,
Amplified Bible: on same verse,–says,” do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality” as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you. ” please read from a Bible the other verses following.
It appears today that the entire world and especially in our own blessed nation that has had so many blessings in all areas of life— and now the forces of evil, sin, and darkness are trying to take us over, many are so bewildered and surprised.
But this does bit nean God is not on his throne, and still working according to His Word. I want to assure you that He is able to heal that baby boy ( I am not familiar with what the Letters stand for), and protect the one in the womb.
No, I do not believe it is your turn just because you have been previously so blessed— a thousand times no! Sin is in the world, the imperfections are there, it is really God’s mercy- miraclous that you have not experience more serious things. It is true that much sin is brought on my the world not living by the Torah—- I mean a huge amount of the third world countries extreme poverty is brought on them because for generations upon generations they have been totally ignonart of God’s teachings in the Old Testament, and then added to that is their lack of response to Christ as the Son of God.—– Have you the book, “None of These Disease”,by S.I. McMillen, M.D. & David. E. Stern, M.D. This is not a book trying to get you to buy anything!

Back to your immediate request, yes, my husband and I will pray for this entire stituation, and now, for one more major thing: I want to remind you that when we are true followers of Yeshua, Jesus, the Son of God, as revealed in the scriptures– then His Holy Spirit lives in us and whatever He allows and then when we ask, He hears. He will work it out to bring glory and honor to His Name. It may not be immediate, but the Promise is forever. Without pain there is no growth– simply the world we live.
Now, may I write just one more short story that I have written once this morning to another urgent prayer request? I will do it below. Praise His Many Holy Names! L.B.

Roderick and family, ( I see a few typo mistakes above, but think you can figure that out)–

My Herb and Christian friends here, in the small Central Tx town, has a son that is a Music Missionary in an European Country and lives and ministers in an Apt. Complex. He could not write the man’s name or country with his request for prayer this A.M.. But the man is being held by authorties because he had to flew for his life from his home country because he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The judge was to decide today whether or not this young man, would be returned or given exile creditials to stay in this European country. He has a wife and sons in his former country, and prayer is also for them to be reunitied with him.—

— As I prayed for the situation, as I try do ASAP when I get one, then go back later, and spend more time praying . I realized that just last week in my kitchen bringing me arugula (rocket). was another mutual Herb friend. As always we talked about what the Lord was doing in our lives. She & her husband are acitve in their Lutheran church, and are very Biblical versed. We actually going over some Hebrew -Greek words I had been learning from Skip’s DD. The friends have lived in this area for 20 years or so. — During this study, she reminded me of God’s mercy for her husband and later it would include her and their boys. This is beautiful and perfect reminder that God does answer our prayers.

Erwin, her husband now, was 15 years old lived in Germany and was in Hitlers work force. He was sent with that group to Canada to work during WW 11. He knew that his situation was not what God wanted in his life, so he fled to the U.S. and asked for protection, and stated he wanted to become a U.S. Citizen, and denouce his German one. If a person does that or at that time the U.S. did then ask the person to sign papers to be drafted into the U.S. military if needed. So he agreed and signed it. He was alreadly a fairly skilled worker, and thought he would get to do that. Remember he is 15 years old. He was immediately drafted into the military and sent to CA, trained and then at once sent right back to Germany. He was devastated; he could not leave the U.S.base , or contact any family or friends at all for fear of being picked up and thrown into a German prison. But he prayed, tried to do what was right on the base, and pray the War would be over. Well, this young German lady worked out on the U.S. base, and he met her, she became his wife, a baby boy was born. The war was over he wanted to leave the military, but they had no way to live without a job. Another baby boy came into their home, he was sent back to U.S., family followed. He stayed in the military, and was sent to Officer’s school, became an Officer, and retired from imilitary a few years back. They are dear friends, both Master Gardners, he built their home in the country, in sections almost totally by himself. One area is decorated in TX style, with state shape designs and made by one of their sons. One part is made from old German antique pieces of wood, mantles,etc. discarded, salvaged, bought at low prices, and the kitchen, is modern with stainless steel commercial stye pieces ( great cooks) that he found slightly used, and less than half price. He did the work to move it and install this beautiful kitchen with tile counter tops, and European swirl cement walls.—
Now, it was just like God spoke to me anew, and said, ” I am still on My Throne; I still answer prayers given according to My Word, and I have reminded you with real people that you know. Now pass the word out as needed, and remind & encourage others, and then they too will be blessed.” —- If you come to Central TX, you probably could get a tour of their home and small farm. They gave our CA friend one a few years back, when it was only about half of its current size. ——————————–
May God continue to bless you in your struggles, as you abide in Him, and in His word, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I am praying for your child and family. I am a wellness author and teach nutrition. The only way to boost your immune systems is to eat lots of fruits and vegetables Genesis 1:29. It is the plant chemicals, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that enables our body to repair itself. Try to eat 4 to 4 fresh fruits per day, especially include blueberries, kiwis, and oranges. Eat cruciferous vegetables, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, greens, broccoli sprouts, watercress, radishes and turnips. Eat lots of green leafy veggies, both raw and cooked.
