Hospital Need

Hello Skip:
I am coming before the body of Christ for a need.
As you may recall, I was to get some money for a contest I entered several months ago, and I was counting on the money.  As of this date, it has not been sent, and I keep praying, but am now wondering if I will get it at all.
I had to go the emergency room yesterday, for I was concerned about my heart as the night before, I felt pains in my left arm, and while in the hospital had several tests done, and two more are recommended, but I just don’t have the money for the other two tests nor the money to pay the hospital bill.  Had I gotten the contest money, i could have paid for it all, and while I haven’t gotten a no on the contest $$, I am not given any direct answers  as to when it will arive, although I have called several times.
I know the Lord is our provider.  I am not one that likes to be in debt, and i don’t believe it’s Biblical to be in this situation, and it seems the economy is dictating differently.
To sum it all up, I am asking if the body of Christ can help me pay some of this hospital bill.  The choice I had was to pay $5,000 incrementally, or use a credit card and have it reduced down to a little under $2,000, which I decided to go with, but $2,000 right now might as well be $10,000.00
I don’t like doing this, and it’s not as much a matter of pride as it is feeling like it is my responsibility, and I take my responsibilites seriously.
I do thank you for listening and continuing to feed us with God’s truth.
Thanks, God bless, Ellen McFarland, Clearwater, FL
NOTE:  At God’s Table is sending $1000 to Ellen tomorrow.  If anyone else wishes to contribute, please let me know.

Dear Ellen, I do not about your age, etc., but want to encourage you to read the post over to the side,” Update to Prayers” , This is about a lady, Ruth Olsen, that has been going through serious cancer treatments: bone marrow, chemo treatments, and more. She has a web site of her own and it in it she has written on her seeking the Lord for healing, and her life in Christ from a small child.

She has spoken to many women’s groups through the last 20 or 25 years of her life. She is a retired RN, and has even written a book on healing. I have not read any of those, but I do know that women often minister to women so much. I do know one of the couples that she gives credit for helping her into a deeper walk with the Lord. The Lord has used them so much as ministers of bringing healing to people for the past 40 years or more. They are John & Paula Sanford. ——–

I also want to tease you a bit ( laughter is good medicine -so says the Proverbs–& I know that!) But after 76 years of living, I have this saying about money expected, ” Never count on any check
until it is deposited in the Bank, and cleared!”—– Even in Real Estate deals, etc.!!——-

Also, I want to say, that I have been under the care of Austin Heart Group for about five years now, and God has repeatedly shown me, not to be concerened about it, but to keep in His Word, pray without ceasing that my life will bring glory and honor to Him, to do what I am able in working, help others. He reminds me over and over, ” DO NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT your HEALTH PROBLEMS, BUT BE READY TO MEET HIM, AND THAT HE WILL GIVE ME THE DAYS INTENDED FOR ME.
Abide in Him. No TV programs, or frivolous living that are from out of the Babylonian and Egptian System ( most are from the devil and will cause great health problem). Watch your diet! Eat light and right.

Even the commercials on TV, are horrible! and all of these things are also, taking precious time away from studying God’s Word. ‘SEEK YOU FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNES—-”

And He reminds me daily to be ready to Meet HIM! “Be very very sure of your calling and election” now, today. —- In the past years , God literally burned most all of this into my Spirit, as I went about taking care of my very elderly parents. It was a Holy time for me in the Spirit of the Lord. “Do not be afraid to die, be ready. We are all going to die on this earth( unless of course He returns while we are alive. ( Read both books of Thessalonias.) Live each day as it could be your last. Do not let the Dr.s alarm you, Follow God’s Directions as He has given us in both the Covenanats.
—- In my case, I was near death a few times, and the Lord hHmself lifted me up, and let me live on in such a worthwhile manner. I give honor and thanksgiving for His great love. Thank goodness this life is not forever, but a preparation of one that will be. So take the time and “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness–” Be peaceful, thankful, joyful — do not dwell on evil, but on Heavenly things found in the Old and New Covenants. In God’s Great Love, L.B.
