An Update on the comings and goings
Dear Friends,
I thought I might add just a comment or two about what I have been doing and what has been happening with At God’s Table. As we start into the holiday season, you might like to know something more about what you ALL have done this year.
First, At God’s Table has been responsible for: travel expenses for ministers (not me), help with food budgets, roof construction, foreclosure prevention, gifts to ministries, aid to homeless, food for street people, payments to hospitals, road work, housing, house building, employment counseling, financial planning, chiropractic services, help with elderly care, counseling for the bereaved, scholarships for education, work for the unemployed, comfort and aid to the sick, hundreds of prayers, emergency funds and many other personal acts of love. YOU MADE ALL OF THIS POSSIBLE. It is my honor to be witness to the real Christian hallmark of love for each other. I am so proud of all of you, and so happy to know you.
I have never taken a salary from At God’s Table, but I may need to now. I hope you won’t feel upset about this. I have tried to use the funds for the community but it looks like I will need money to pay college bills.
Second (and far less important), I have completed 1 book (Jesus Said To Her) and have half of 2 others (The Perfect Enemy and The Wrong Normal). Hopefully, they will be done soon. Then we face the publication problems. Any ideas?
Third, I have taught, lectured, ministered and written for hundreds this year. What a joy it was. Your support made this possible too. Thank you. Hopefully we can do more in the coming year. I wish I could personally visit each one of you. Maybe we should have a family picnic.
And last, I went to Israel with 16 of you. Thank you!
As you think about 2010, please remember what we did together. It is the mark of a true community. I love each of you. You made my year a delight.

I’ve got a publisher that I am sure would be happy to work with you. Their “front man” is a best friend of mine, the son of a prominent minister, who has moved out on his own and does production work, TV, publication and such. I would be happy to put you in touch with him should you be interested. He is currently having my book written and published on Outrageously Healthy Living.
Holiday season? What I would really like to see this coming year Skip, is to see studies on the Feasts of YHVH.
Shalom Yolanda Achoti
I am with you!!
Let us have a thorough exposure of the Hebraic view of the Feasts as outlined in the Tanakh.
Hummm …. what a delectible daily portion.
Sounds good to me too. Now all I need is someone to write it. 🙂
Just a thought …. yes there are some wonderful writings regarding the Feasts of Adonai. But there is also room for much discussion if simply the topic(s) were addressed on a Festival by Festival basis.
For instance … do we think there would be a lack of commentary, insights, experience sharing, etc. if TW commentaries (even brief) during Pesach actually dealt with Pesach from a Hebraic perspective? From a Yeshua perspective?
Do we think that frank discussion focusing upon First Fruits would not enable everyone to see Yeshua’s Resurrection in this Festival and realize that Easter just won’t get it done?
My point is that we could wait for furnished works (and there are plenty of these works) or TW could readily be opened up for some deep dives simply by opening the door.
Just a thought brother Skip and in this way you would not have to shoulder the burden of focusing upon teaching issues that are not front and center on your radar presently. 🙂
We could not possibly be upset about meeting needs – others or yours. If we were, I think we’d have missed the truth, teaching & revelation that has been shared here.
Deep love & respect for you and this community,
Anthony
Do not muzzle the ox… eat and be satisfied.
Skip,
As it has been said here on many occasions, we are in this together. If you have a need, we would be happy to help. Be at peace, brother.
Mary
Skip,
May God Bless and enrich your life just as you are a blessing to each of us.
I am a Gentile with a desire to understand the true meaning of God’s language (Hebrew). My subscription to “Today’s Word” and Today’s Word Daily Devotional (iPod Touch) strengthen my faith and bring me closer each day as I walk with our Creator.
In Christ,
Greg
Thanks for those kind words of encouragement. I am just like you, brother, adopted into the Kingdom from Norway.
Hi Skip,
I’m teaching classes at the Westminster Institute on, Writing & Publishing 101. Maybe I can help with some publishing ideas.
Bill Cummins
Thanks Bill. I’ll be in touch as soon as the draft is done.
Dear Skip,
Dear Skip,
Thank you for your faithfulness in His kindgdom ministry.
As for the publication of the books, I would like to donation a very small amount of money to support it.
Esther
PS, a prayer request. My brother, Raymond has lung cancer, probably 1 to 2 stage, please remember him. He is a believer. He probably will have the lung operation next Monday 16th. to remove the turmor, at the bottom of the right side lung.
Thanks Esther. I am glad that you have already taken on the task of publishing Today’s Word for the Chinese community.
Hi Esther,
That’s a good idea.
I will donate some money for the publication of the books too!
I love you and this community and trust the Spirit of God moving and directing At God’s Table…and I say “yes, Jesus.”
Many authors are going the route of self publishing in order to keep major publishing houses from changing their work to an unrecognizable condition. I spent many years editing and writing for large and small R&D companies, and for the past ten years or so I have been helping some Christian authors prepare their work for print — editing and proofing, not just for typos, grammar and clarity, but also checking every sentence to be sure of the author’s intention; e.g., is this what you meant by that? I sometimes add illustrations, design the covers (front and back), etc., as the author desires. I then format the entire book in pdf so the publisher cannot change your manuscript.
If you go with companies such as AuthorHouse or Xulon, they will charge you much less to print the work if it is already in this form, ready to print, with pages numbered, blanks inserted to start new chapters on right side, fonts imbedded, etc. They can then send us the ISBN to be inserted on the back cover, and offer the books to the large distributors. They also offer other packages such as “buy-back” which will entice booksellers such as B&N, BaM, etc., to stock them on their shelves and be assured that they will be bought back if not sold.
If you prefer to go with a local printer, we can get your own ISBN. You will need another ISBN for an e-book, a hard-back book, etc. You will probably want to use your proof copy as your e-book to be offered on your website or for Kindle, See-inside-the-book, etc. If you run short of books on hand, You can email your proof copy to Kinko’s and they will print and bind them for a reasonable price, and have them at your location where needed such as a seminar out of town.
Anyway, if this is the direction you are headed, I would love to help with this stage of the process, with whatever is needed. I can’t wait to read your ‘ezer book.
