The picture above looks a little bit like the white, smoked, marble tile in the very small entrance way of my new condo.
On the left, a doorway opens into a little kitchen, where I put a redwood laminate flooring.
When my daughter came to see the work her uncle and I did, she remarked that the red and the white didn’t match.
I replied that they matched like “fire and ice,” and then jokingly told her to stay out of the kitchen if she couldn’t stand the heat.
But in all seriousness there does seem to me to be a correlation between the blood, fire, red, and sin on the one hand and snow, water, white, and purity on the other.
For me they are almost like polarities of consciousness, and if heaven is in your mind, then it is a cool white room.

This photo is surreal to me…. the bright snow, the layered ice, the tiny icicles…. creation is so amazingly complex and beautiful. Thank you for capturing it for us to admire God’s handiwork!
