Thank you Michael, I used this translation (“Complete Jewish Bible” by David H. Stern) because of its different rendition from most other translations, and that this seems to fit the picture. When I read this proverb in context, I believe Solomon was thinking about friends and the people we associate with. Additionally for me, to add a more spiritual meaning, the verse is telling me that I have within the choices that I make the power to reflect in my heart those choices, which I hope is none other than Yeshua HaMashiach.

Just as water reflects the face, so one human heart reflects another (Proverbs 27:19).
Hi Fred,
I really like your translation, but my translation of Proverbs 27:19 is very different:
As no two faces are ever alike
unlike too are the hearts of men
Your translation of Proverbs 27:19 is more interesting to me with its focus on “reflection.”
Your proverb seems to be saying that we see ourselves (reflected) in the Hearts of others.
In any case, Skip’s photo has amazing color and the breeze on the water looks like a Fingerprint.
Is Skip’s art a “reflection” of God’s reality or is it itself an act of creation; a “mode of production.”
I used to reflect on this type of question a lot before I got a real job (in my father’s eyes).
Working with computer software in our capitalistic mode of production.
