Prayer Request
From Jim in Scotland:
Skip, if you think it appropriate could you pass this request on to the community.
My friend Francis a tough old North Sea fisherman now in his 70’s has adrenal problems, ischaemic heart disease, cancer of the bladder. Five months ago he and his wife Liz had their first grandchild, born prematurely 2lbs 7 oz with a hole in the heart, significant growth hormone problems, and a kidney situation which is in need of urgent treatment, but that is not possible until she (Neave) has grown. Now 5months old and is still only 5lbs.
We had our regular study/prayer meeting last night and Liz announced that baby Neave attended the hospital yesterday and her parents were told that there is also a dislocated hip in the situation. Francis and Liz have been running back and forward to the hospital since Neave was born and are quite exhausted.
Could I ask the community to hold these dear Christians and their situation up before the LORD.
At times like these I wonder just how much can one family take. Liz’s brother is in full time ministry and her niece an obstetrician has been in Afghanistan for several years ‘under the wire’ doing trying to assist the Afghan women and children.
Many thanks
Yours in the LORD
Jim

AND ONE MORE:
Our sister, Melanie, who moved to Spokane, wrote to say she is very discouraged and has no clear direction. She asked for prayer. Please lift her up.
I have prayed this morning for this precious child, Neave, grandchild of Francis a friend of Jim’s, one of our community members. And I pray again, “Lord I pray for these grandparents who in their love for this child are asking this prayer, who are moving back and forth to the hospital, and who are attending their regular group prayer meetings and are looking to you for the restoration of this precious ones life. Father I pray for Francis and Liz, give them the physical strength to go on, to be there for this little girl and for their children, her parents. Give them a supernatural empowerment from your Spirit that will enable them to continue being available to their family in this time of need. Lord, I pray for Neave and her little body; Father you who see every organ, every bone structure, every cell and every heart beat; Father, I pray that your hands will touch her in every area where she needs healing, bringing relief and comfort. Father we ask for a miracle, we pray that her little body will overcome all these infirmities. And Father we also lift before you sister Melanie, and ask you to give her a clear sense of your presence and your direction, help her to keep her eyes on You and not to be discouraged. Help her to know that her strength and her whole being come from You, and that You will be faithful to help her in this difficult situation. In Your name we pray, Amen.”
Jim … Achienu,
We can not get away from tribulation but we can beseech our LORD for strength … for healing … for loving kindness!
We lift up the needs of you and yours … and ours 🙂 … to The ONE Whose goodness can make us well and joyful and content … even in the worst of times. Let the prayers of the saints rise to Him as a sweet incense. Let us as one body pray for this need knowing that The Lord of Shabbat will heal on Shabbat.
We pray Yeshua that today you show us the glory of Your might …. we know You are able and we believe that You will do so!
Hi Jim,
I will gladly say a prayer for your friends.
When I see others with real problems, I feel very fortunate.
And glad to hear about others who are helping the Afghan women and children.
Amen to all that Linda and Drew wrote above! I just now prayed for healing for the tiny little one, so precious in the sight of God.
Yes, today the trials and tribulations seemed so much more numerous than most of the Western World have had the last fifty years. But it seems that things will continue to get worse. The forces of hell seem bent on destroying Christian people and this “civilization”. This is where those that stand firm in Yeshua, through Yahweh, will be victorious— “if we faint not”.
May I encourage John and his friends by telling them that about March 23, 2010, that I was filling out the Medical forms for a group of Urologists in the Capital of TX to have surgery on a full case of prolapse of the uterus, bladder, bowls, called rectocele. I already had the appointment, and had received these papers in the mail to complete. I sent e-mail each of our own children of this information, asking one if she could come and stay a week with me, to help drive me and be sure I was okay during the first days at home, and help feed her dad and me. She called me the next day, and said that she would be happy to do that. It is my first surgery since I was 26 years old, when I had to have the same time of procedure. I am now 77 years. BUT she said mom why dont; we pray that you will not need it. I am very aware of healings, as the Lord has healed me & my family with prayers, and with Drs. so many times.— But to ask for all this to be lifted up and held in place was more than I could REALLY believe. But since I say that I know God is able to all things, I said well Okay, that will be fine. She prayed a fairly short prayer over the phone and we left it like that. I experienced nothing except the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit. I thanked her and we hung up. I went joyfully on and thanked the Lord for his great love, etc. By morning when I got up and went to the bathroom, I experienced a surprise, “all those things seemed to be in normal place. I cautioned myself to be sure before I was telling everyone that was healed. I waited about 24 hours and mentioned it my husband. Things continued to be normal, and now May 15, they still are, and I have been doing normal yard work and housework etc.
Now, this is somewhat embarrassing for me to write or speak of such things– I grew up in age we did not tell “all” and speak of body parts in the lower area. BUT I am giving this as a witness to encourage these dear hurting people to get out God’s Word and read it and see how natural it was in the Bible to speak of “HEALING”. I have been healed in the past just reading to myself orally, God’s Word, and praising & thanking Him -for all the times He has healed me and my family. God is NO Respecter of persons. I really think He healed me, for me to speak encouragement to others and encourage them to “seek the Lord for healing. Blessing of the fullest to all who read this! LaVaye Billings——( P.S. because there have been some false-fake teachers on healing, and some who are really not of the Lord, do not think God does not heal today, there are people gifted with prayers for healing.! But it seems today, that perhaps a new flood of healing will come from the Lord through the true dedicated everyday Christians.)
Bendiciones.
Dear Lord, you know Francis health situation, in all these tasks that needs his help. Give him the health that he needs when he running back and forth to provide care and assistance to the tiny little grand child. Even thoug the baby is so tiny, with so many health problems, Lord, you love Neave more than any other one. You know all the suffering the little baby had gone thru in the past few months. Lord, heal her, give Neave a health kidney, strong heart even though there’s a hole, your love , your power will fully fill the hole and make it whole. Lord I pray for all the food that Neave has been taking, will be taking ,will serve for her growth, add to her weight, strong her bone. Lord willing, exempt her from all the medical operations, becasue of your mercy touch on her.
I also ask peace and protection on Liz’s brother and niece in a dangerous place.
