A Small Request

I am in Seattle now to be with my youngest, my daughter Rachel.  She turned 18 on Friday, was baptized on Sunday and graduates from high school today.  Saturday we hiked a trail in the Cascades, talked about life, visited with a wonderful group organized by Christina, and spent some really great time together.

Rachel hopes to follow the direction of her passion by being involved in adventure tourism or working in other countries and cultures, traveling and finding ways to connect with many different people.  She is particularly interested in serving in some useful people capacity during the next 6 to 12 months while she waits to enter the Air Force Reserve and college.  So, if any of you can assist her in this quest, or if you are connected with a company or organization that  can use an enthusiastic, personable, eager 18-year-old who is ready to look beyond the usual path, please let me know.  Rachel would be grateful for any help in direction that you (plural) might provide.

Thanks.

I can help by praying that the Lord will bring all this into her life. What a wonderful age! May the Lord keep her and guide her in His perfect plan for her life. This I know He will do for her. She can count on
my prayers. I love what He says in Psalms 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which
thou shalt go, I will guide you with Mine eye.”

What a beautiful daughter, Skip. I see she shares your sense of adventure! Congratulations to the both of you.

Yes, what a beautiful daughter Skip, she looks a little like Sarit Hadad (Shema Israel) 🙂

How wonderful that you got to spend that precious time with Rachel. Now she’s launching out on her own. May God’s presence be with her as she truly seeks to accomplish His purpose in her life.

Skip, let me know if she wants to come this way, I wouldn´t advice Honduras,or most Central American countries right now except Panama and Belize. Other important question, does she need to earn $$ or does she have other income (read Daddy) to count on while on her journey. There´s a great crowd of Surfers for Christ in Panama she might enjoy, for example. We can look, I´m sure we´ll find adventure!

Mary

Skip, a beautiful young woman. I know you are bursting with pride!

Father, bless this woman as she seeks your direction for her life. Protect and keep her. We know you are able to do that and so much more than we can think or ask. Fill her with wisdom and shed your love abroad in her heart for you and others. Open wide the doors of opportunity and lead her in the way you would have her to go.

Shalom Skip and Rachel
You are more than welcome to come and stay with us if you can find something exciting and worthwhile doing in South Africa. We are farming near a small town, Kroonstad(meaning= Crowncity) in the Free State. Our daughter turned 18 today ( finishing school in November)and our son is 14.
As far as adventure tourism: SA ‘s got the usual: bungy, abceiling, little rapids( not like in Zambie on the Zambesiriver), sharkdiving, shark-cagediving, elephant walking , hiking in the mountains, skiing, hiking on the coastline, driving in the dessest and of course lots of gamefarms ect. So it all depends how you see adventure tourism: playing( feeding) with lions or watching them from inside your 4×4. I don’t know any companies myself and can only provide you with websites. We breed sables and buffalo and a friend of mine has the biggest lionsbreeding facility in South Africa.

Let me know if you are interested so that I can start finding the information you need. The chance of making big bucks is very slim, because of the Rand /Dollar rate.

Blessings
