FAMILY REUNION – URGENT
Good Morning,
When we got the results of the survey, more than 100 people said they would like to get together for a family reunion. As you know, we set up a 3 day event – a cruise to the Bahamas – getting the best price we could for an all-inclusive reunion. But as of this date, only a very small number of people have signed up, far less than what we need to make this happen. So, we are in a spot. Some who have signed up have airline reservations. But we need more people to make it work. There is no time left to delay.

I would love to meet everyone in the group and your price is great, but I hate to travel and refuse to accept being treated like a terriost before getting on a plane. That is why I didn’t sign up to start with.

I do not know what you mean by being treated as a terriost. I have not gone through a body scan but by the time I do, I doubt thaanyone will see anything they have not seen before. I really do not mind taking my computer out of the case, take my soes off and put my jacket in the bin to go through the scanner. It comes with travel by air anymore. Maybe my words are a bit harsh. Yet, this is today, not two thousand years ago.
I am one who has signed up, have my airline travel arranged and that will be lost if the cruise (Family Reunion) does not happen. I will be very sad!
Never fear. It will happen. The only question is the size of the group. Rosanne and I are committed to follow through with all who decide to join us.

I would love to go but that’s the week ORU begins fall semester and I can’t take vacation. I’m the only Network Administrator. The staff is not allow to take vacation on that period of time.
I know there are a lot of people who have travel complications, financial considerations and other obligations. I certainly understand. My only concern was missing out on someone who really wanted to join us but just forgot about letting us know. The cruise option was the best price we could find for food, lodging, meeting space and all the rest. Actually cheaper for one of the Orlando hotels. We are looking forward to a great time with whomever comes along. I just wish I had the funds to invite all 600+ at my expense.
Skip, unfortunately that is around the time of the birth of our third, so a cruise isn’t going to be able to work for us. Sorry! I look forward to the next reunion though.
