How gorgeous! When you share these wonderful pictures with us, then ‘living vicariously’ isn’t so bad. 🙂
Thanks, Skip!

Ahh, the Sydney Opera House. What an amazing structure. It kinda reminds me of a giant prehistoric reptile frolicking in the waters. Or, a Viking sailing vessel. Whatever one sees, it’s quite an impressive landmark. I hope you got a chance to visit and listen to a performance.

“giant prehistoric reptile frolicking in the waters”

Hi Judy,

I agree, at first glance the photo above made me think of the “reptilian” rock formations in the blue and golden “water color” photo below:

https://skipmoen.com/2010/06/05/water-color/

But the photo above does not evoke in me the same sense of danger as the “water color” photo.

The structure above looks more like a “magical” landing ship carrier (LST).

A sort of “safe harbor” on which four beautiful butterflies have already landed.

Good one Michael. I like your “safe harbor” image with four beautiful butterflies.

And, that image ties in nicely with “Today’s Word” message and blog site. It truly IS a safe harbor for all of us to read, learn, be challenged, ask questions, express our opinions, support each other, and hopefully grow. And….Skip sometimes sends us beautiful images of his famous butterflies!!

One more thing Michael. I just read one of your later posts to Skip’s June 5 “Water Color.”

I’m sorry the 5 men drowned that day in the waters where you were surfing and I’m sorry you had to witness it. It must have been very traumatic for you.

Michael

Hi Judy,

Yes it was very painful to see five friends die, each one trying to help the one further out, and failing.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.
