Guardian Angel- The ‘ezer Book Is Here

My regular readers will recall the many, many Today’s Word’s regarding the ‘ezer kenegdo.

After eighteen months of writing and editing, I’m pleased to let you know that the book about God’s role for women in marriage, society and the church is available.

Guardian Angel: What You Need to Know about God’s Design for Women, by Skip Moen, D.Phil.

Every woman knows she was designed for a special role — a role that has been denied to her far too long. In this study of Scripture, Skip Moen re-examines the Genesis account from an Hebraic perspective. This foundation supports a radical revision of contemporary views about women. Women were designed by God to guide, direct and supply the boundary conditions for their men. They were designed by God to be the relationship managers of marriage. They are the ones who are intended to provide strength, shelter and correction. Without understanding these roles, marriages will flounder and gender issues will remain unresolved.

This book is for anyone who wants to know how to make a relationship work according to God’s way. It’s time for a change! You can start right now.

I just finished reading about the ezer kenegdo. And I have listened to a few of your presentations online on this as well. Fascinating book. And the material on mutual submission between husband and wife. The insight on the misunderstanding of Paul and Peter.

My favorite part is of course about the return to the Garden of the couple. Song of Songs as the redemptive marriage that maybe some couples are blessed by God to have. I hope for this in my life. I just hope the husband that God blesses me with just respects the boundaries. I bet you’re an expert on this respecting boundaries.

I think the most important part is on the role of the man and the woman. He remembers what God has said and she sets the boundaries. But I will say that part is a little fuzzy to me. Maybe you could elaborate more on this with some practical applications when you visit the topic again.

Thanks for the wonderful and totally fascinating look at the ezer kenegdo.
