What a capture! Birds feature a lot in my art….just love this picture…thanks. Needed this today as the visa people are being very difficult….and I must fly in 8 days!!

If you recall Halloween last year, the big white egret in the birch tree about 10′ above my front door
Well she came back again around the 1st of September, with two big “boys,” I think
And she has been there each night when I come home from work ever since
Sometimes there are just two of them
The last time she was here as I recall we were discussing the beautiful Caribbean photos of Aruba
And the dangerous undertow below the surface of the water there

Goose is the wingman whose role is to be “lookout,” to “watch the back” of the Top Gun
He must come “under fire” without having any control over his destiny

you have to know that i have watched the movie “Top Gun” so many many times with my only son – when he was 3 or 4 when the movie came out we watched it too many times to count – he even had the top gun jacket & most of the dialog memorized…
you know i am a Goose – not that i am going to die but i will lay down my life 4 you as does Christ 4 us & others – you know that the Holy Spirit is called the Wild Goose… ♥
we are outlaws 4 sure – i may order the book about Jesus “The Beautiful Outlaw” which is now out by John Eldridge… & put on my computer – a friend loaned me her Kindle too for a trip (imagine that)…
i believe he/Goose did have control over his destiny to some extent by having the opportunity to accept or deny his position in life & love his friend enough to die for Mavericks decisions (although under fire for his surrender to being a wingman to Maverick) – sometimes the only One that sticks closer than a friend is Jesus & Goose is right behind Him – even in the cockpit… ♥
