All Souls, Oxford

All Souls is a very unique college.  With only 80 post-doctoral scholars, it is a place of intense intellectual pursuit.  The chapel at All Souls is open only once a year.  But I visited All Souls every day that we were in Oxford, and the porter at the gate  (a very fine gentleman) surprised me by allowing me to enter the chapel and photograph it.  This is a rare occasion that I share with you.  Today we saw things that very few people will ever see.  Enjoy this view of a history that was well-established before Columbus set out for the new world.
