Where's Rachel?

I had an opportunity to visit my daughter, Rachel, while I was in Seattle.  She is stationed at the Whidbey Island Navel Air Station.  Here she is with the kind of jets that fly in her squadron.  She will be going back to deployment in a few months.

She’s a great woman, nearly 20, and growing up too fast.  If you think of it, please pray for her.  She is holding Christian values in a very tough world.  I already miss her.

She has your smile. I pray that you remember her every time you find something to rejoice in. She is a fine young woman. May angels protect and guide her daily!

Eileen

What a beautiful young woman. We never stop being a parent do we? I mean this is a healthy way. 🙂 We always carry our loved ones in our heart. Do you think God does that with us? I think so 🙂
God bless you and your family

How fortunate for you both, that you were able to arrange that visit. I am sure it made both of your hearts glad!

I pray for Rachel’s continued protection, and also that the mantle of leadership for our military would fall on the shoulders of those who follow our Father’s guidance, as she does. It is comforting to me to know that we have these young people, coming up in ‘the ranks’ and preparing themselves to serve our nation in truth and wisdom.

Vicki

I have a daughter the same age. What a joy it is to watch them maintain their values in a world that has so few. I will certainly pray for the two of you.

Patricia Acker

Yes indeed. Prayed Ps 70 over your dear precious one. Amen and Amen!

Dorothy

You have blessed me much, so I am happy to bless you back by praying for those you love so dearly.
Do you have other children as well?

She is a brave woman, working in the midst of a still male dominated setting. I am betting that she will continue to suceed and if she desires it, will make top rank in the Navy. However, I am also betting that she will finish her enlistment and use the GI bill to go to school. That would be not only brave but smart. She is in my prayers.

My daughter Katie is in the USAF and just completed her 3rd tour in the Middle East, two in Iraq. Dad to Dad: this is hard. And it will be hard for her, too, at a variety of levels. But the good news here is that the Services allow for daily use of Facebook. With newer iPods, you can upload up to 10 minutes of video. If you both have Facetime on your iDevices, she can log into the wireless system and call! You’ll still miss her! But you can at least maintain some Internet koinonia with her. And yes, I’ll gladly add her to my prayer list. Thank you for sharing this. To share a little, your heart will always be a little in your throat until she steps back on American soil. Trusting takes on a new dynamic. It takes guts to do what she’s doing. I’m proud of her, too.

The Blood of Jesus over Rachel and His ministering angels round about her to keep her in all her ways and grant her travelling mercies. She’s so sweet and has such a sweet countenance. You are truly blessed.

“Rachel was lovely in form and beautiful,”

I’ll say a prayer for Rachel, looks like she is ready for the “danger zone” 🙂

Ester

Amein! YHWH’s protection surround her, every moment of her time whether she be on ground or in the air, and a hedge around her from all lies and harm; His wisdom and guidance for her decisions in every situation. Thank you ABBA. Amein!

If can provide her address when she deploys we can see that she gets a care package from our Military minisitery at our “edah”. I enjoy reading your writings and will see you in Arizona.

Praying the 91st Psalm for your dear daughter. God is our refuge and our fortress! Peace to you all!

God bless Rachel and all who serve in the military. My grandson is a Marine, served in Iraq on 2 tours and thank the Almighty, he returned safely and unharmed. May it be so with your dear Rachel. Yes, it’s not easy; however, those who serve had a desire to serve our blessed country and freedom is never free as we learn from our Messiah. I prayed fervently for my grandson every day and am thankful to God for Daniel’s maturity, belief, and strength.
