The 17%
Someone in India told me that only 17% of the 1.2 billion of India live below the poverty line. I am not sure if I believe that but I did think it was important to meet some of these people anyway. Just so you know their faces if you meet them (here or there), they send greetings.
Maybe they ment: ABOVE the poverty line.
Are these people brothers and sisters in Christ?
I repeated asked that question and was told that there are only 17% BELOW the poverty line. It is very hard to imagine that is true.
There must be a different definition for poverty!
What part of India do they come from, if only 17% live in Poverty. It must be a ifferent India than I visited for 15 years,
