Amanda’s Story

Recently one of our community was called home.  During the crisis, you (all this community) helped.  Amanda wrote to me about your help.

“Thank you wonderful community for the blessing I recently received.  In the midst of all the craziness with my mother-in-law’s illness and eventual death, one of our vehicles broke down.  Since we have two extremely different schedules, along with two young children, there was no way we could wait to get it fixed.  One of our friends is a mechanic, and even at his lowest price, with almost no labor costs figured in, the cost was HUGE (at least when figured in light of our current budget).  Amazingly the gift I received from you was almost exactly the amount we needed, leaving only a manageable portion to pull from our budget.  What a blessing and a generous thing!  My family, in some form or another has been part of this community for years, and I’m continually amazed and gladdened by everyone who is part of At God’s Table.  Whether you give on a monthly basis or just whenever you can or when you hear of a need, please know that God uses your gifts to bless others and further His purposes here.  Thank you again!”
