Ruach

“so is every one who is born of the Spirit”  John 3:8

God breathed.

I felt the flow

But never saw the wind.

He paints the skies

With angel’s eyes.

This night His majesty

Came close to me.

The silent canopy

Stretched rim to rim;

An ecstasy

Declares that He

Is there for me.

How could I not believe?

How was I so confused?

What made me say,

“Don’t know my way.”

He must have been amused.

Hungry for celestial bread

Thirsty for His wine,

Empty-handed I became

Crippled by the “getting” game.

Nothing left was mine.

His nail-print palms,

His bleeding side

Confirmed that He

Would shelter me;

Forever be my guide.

God breathed.

I felt the flow.

It does not matter where I go.

That is such beautiful poetry! I love poetry, it’s very expressive in such few words.

Yes, the touch of the Ruach is a wonderful feeling. It sets us free, opens up a different dimension to our understanding of YHWH and WHO HE is, and His expection of us.
And we burst out with joy, praising and blessing Him.

Did that come from you Skip?! 🙂 You must have been relaxing. That is so refreshing.

Isn’t the Ruach amazing! At the most distressing times, for me personally, I can come up with poetry too.
This was written in 06, 15th 2008, title may surprise you, Skip.
Helpmate
A woman is created to be a helpmate to her man,
she looks up to him for love, tenderness and strength
She beautifies, perfumes herself for his main attention
She yearns for his love and passion
She desire his adoration for her whole being
Her longings are towards him, to love, care and adore, comfort and cheer,
All she needs is his right approval, to share his happiness
to become his most beloved Princess!

A man’s helpmate seeks to be cherished and adored
He places her on his pedestal
As his companion, friend and lover
As Yahshua seeks for His Bride
He first laid down His life for Her
to cleanse. purify and perfume
To show His love and committment
She runs in appreciation to His beck and call
’cause He comprehends and fulfills all Her needs
to be cherished and adored!

Skip,
I appreciate today’s piece. I have never been much for poetry, but this spoke to me and I could only respond with my own, “Amen!” Thank you.

Tonya

Comforting and encouraging, thanks Skip!

“Empty-handed I became

Crippled by the “getting” game.”

Great line.

Daria

Perfect description of the secular world.
Thank you, Skip, for sharing your personal touch from YHVH.

We’re all among the chosen few

Who see with opened eyes.

Humbled more yet counted on

To run and reach the prize.

Emptied out then wholly new

With life that never dies.

We follow Him to that place within

Back home to endless skies.

Hi Skip been with you now for many years and have been challenged, stimulated and sometimes confused but this is superb. Poetry often moves me more than prose and this connected in so many ways and at so many different levels. Thank you so much for your industry, honesty and sensitivity.
