TAX DONATION LETTERS

If I have your email address, you received (or will shortly) a tax donation IRS letter for the donations made in 2013.

For about 20 people, I did not have an email address so I sent physical letters in the mail.

BUT I MADE A MISTAKE.  I used a prior year template and forgot to change the year date for the contribution.  On the physical letter, it reads 2012, not 2013.

Here’s how we can correct this without me sending another set of letters before I board the plane for South Africa.

IF AND ONLY IF YOU RECEIVE A PHYSICAL LETTER IN THE MAIL IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS

PLEASE PRINT THE FOLLOWING TO INCLUDE WITH YOUR TAX DOCUMENTS.  This will not be necessary for any foundation, non-profit, church or other organization that wouldn’t need the documentation anyway.

“THIS IS AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT THE TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION LETTER MAILED 8 JANUARY 2014 WAS ACCIDENTALLY RECORDED AS DONATIONS IN 2012, NOT 2013.  THE LETTER SHOULD BE THE TAXABLE DONATION RECORD FOR 2013.”

SKIP MOEN, PRESIDENT, AT GOD’S TABLE

If you feel this isn’t good enough for your records, just email me (ah, now you see that this is just a clever way for me to actually have your email address) and I will write up a new one, but I can’t get it out to you before the 31 January deadline.  Sorry.  You will get it in February.  Nothing will change in the amount, only the date.
