THAT DAY HAS ARRIVED

On Thursday, March 24, the database of subscribers to Today’s Word will be cleaned.  Everyone who has not made a contribution since December 31, 2014 will be removed, except those people who have deliberately asked to remain or those people whom I know cannot make contributions because of geography or circumstances.  What this means is that approximately 600 names will be taken off the list on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

If you are a regular supporter, nothing will happen.  Today’s Word will continue to come to your email inbox as usual.  Of course, there is always the possibility that I made an error and your address was removed when it wasn’t supposed to be.  I have checked the list four times but I am human.  Things happen.  If you find that you don’t get a TW on Friday or on Shabbat (yes, there will be one on this Shabbat), then just let me know and I will fix it.

If you don’t get a TW on Friday because you haven’t contributed since December 31, 2014, then you can fix this yourself.  Just go to

skipmoen.com/donate

and do what you need to do to be added back on the list.  Please don’t ask me to put you back on the list if you are able to make some contribution no matter how small.  This is really a matter of your commitment, not my list expansion.  The community of At God’s Table is interested in those who really want to be part of this journey.  There are plenty of other web sites for those who just want to gather biblical information.

Thanks for your understanding.  The decision was not made lightly.  It has been many years since we cleaned the list, but now is the time.

Blessings and peace to you all.

It is misleading to say that a “one time” donation, or book purchase will subscribe you to the daily post.

Technically, Pierann, the ‘one time donation’ puts you on the list for the 30 day TWOT. After that, intermittent donations help keep everything online for the benefit of the group.

Skip, my credit union ASSURES me that soon i’ll be able to use paypal. #justsayin

Thanks for clarifying ~ I did not realize it was per calendar year ~ I purchased many books throughout 2015 ~ hopefully I am not in jeopardy.

My job keeps me incredibly busy. Countless times Today’s Word has pierced through the fog of the world and led me to study things that week that I would not have studied. The daily email from Skip is such a blessing in my life that the regular monthly donation is the least that I can do.
