Who Are We To

Who are we to complain about living?  I am in Jakarta to visit with Children Under the Bridge.

I thought you’d like to know what it’s like here.  This is enough to think about today.

Wow…it’s hard for most Americans to even imagine such deplorable living conditions, although many folks in Houston have gotten a first hand look over the past few weeks. I’m guessing that, after what they’ve gone through, the conditions in Jakarta might look pretty good right now. And, next, we’re bracing for Irma. Perhaps God is sending us a message to heighten our sensitivities to the plight of so much of the world. I think it’s working.

Could it be not only the plight of this world, which is true…
But also the plight of lost Humanity? We in the Kingdom have so much of God’s blessings to share with those right around us who have little or know nothing about Yahweh in His blessings period causes me to remember I am just a pilgrim passing through.

And I would bet they are a very grateful generous people, right Skip ?

Could having less actually be having more?

We are doing more with less, now that our hands are empty, we are able to reach out to our neighbor, with palms down. PARA: The last few words on getting roots in Babylon, has illuminated our assignment ginormous! we brought nothing into this world and we will not take anything out , It only took 60 years to come to this realization, so why labor for that which rusts ,bugs eat, and thieves steel . Our walk has tweaked so much in the past 3 1/2 years. It took much submission to the easy yoke and light burden of Yeshua. YHVY has exceeded what we could ask or imagine. We do not have to ask for anything , but thank YHVH JIREH for everything, And yes less is more YHVH said do this— , you are more “well off” to give…

A BIT OFF TOPIC sort of:
“why labor for that which rusts ,bugs eat, and thieves steel .” This is particularly significant and personal for me this EARLY morning as we’ve been fighting rat infestation at our little beach get-away for a week now (I come here for extended periods of time because the Lyme disease responds well to the negative ions coming off the ocean.) My husband has been trying to replace old rusted pipes (without success.) Another visit awhile back greeted me with thievery of some stuff on my back porch and storage area.
My Service Dog and I were awakened at 2 a.m. (it’s now 4:35 a.m.) to the sound of a nasty big something crawling behind our bedroom wall. Rats everywhere… but my front and back doors don’t open to raw sewage and disease.
Oh how much so many in the world suffer… and, if they don’t know YHVH, I don’t understand how they stay sane.

Skip has written about the “beatitudes.” That’s where my mind when when I read your post, Rich.
