My tours of Italy and Greece as an architecture student made me wonder what happened in the culture with WWI & WWII that would so strongly brake with all previous traditions. The Bauhaus schools (Germany 1914-1932+-) philosophical aproach to architectural design was to go “Back to zero” Believing the could start from scratch and build a better world than those who came before them.” The proof is in the pudding” it is said….
