Remember Ruby?

Perhaps you will recall my post about Ruby in Manila.  She is the woman who always wanted to be a teacher but lived in terrible poverty.  She finally completed her education and now teaches children in one of the barrio slums.  She has 10 children and her husband had been without a job for some time.  So, we helped her.  And we also provided money to correct one of the worst problems her family faced, namely, a leaking sewer connection INSIDE the house.  That meant raw sewage was constantly on the floor of the house.  Needless to say, lots of sickness.  Here are pictures of a great change – a new sewer box and line so that this is no longer a problem.

YOU DID THIS!  Thanks so much.

Thanks, Skip, for your interest and compassion to help a family. Unfortunately, this is a common problem in such nations. We need to bless those families with His Word, so they too experience the freedom that we have.

Thank you for the update, Skip! Ruby and her family are still listed on our “miracle” prayer board at school. This Friday will be our last day for the year and for the mission. The school will be closing. I will take the board home with me and continue to pray for them and for our sister and children in Indonesia 🙂 Thank you so much for the opportunities which you have provided our children to pray and serve others!

Isn’t it amazing granting life instead of taking it for granted. Love your neighbour is love yourself .. I can’t think of any who don’t need that love connection. No wonder God prescribes it as medicine for the nefesh. Shalom. FJ
