UPDATE ON ASHLEIGH
You will remember Lucille’s prayer request. Here is her update
Shalom to all! Your prayers for Ashleigh, my sweet granddaughter are so deeply appreciated. Thank you all! An update, as I promised. Ashleigh is embracing the love she was denied for so long, from me, Aunts, Uncles, cousins she has not known (my side of her heritage). The bond is growing stronger with each conversation, each visit as we touch each other multiple times a day. She lives a few hours drive away and attends Texas A&M, a satellite in Corpus Christi. We text, email, and talk each day. She is discovering her identity and hopefully her “authentic self” as we go. Made a first visit to a very competent physician in the San Antonio area with great success. Her medical/physical condition is serious yet not debilitating. This particular physician is known for his skill in treating the “whole” person and not just the symptoms. (I’ve been in rapid fire mode studying neurobiology as it relates to Ashleigh’s condition). It’s a new beginning for Ashleigh, we are hopeful. Her 20th birthday is Sunday (16th). Needless to say we (family) are planning a “celebration” with joy and tears. I ask for continued prayers as you are lead by the Holy Spirit. This is a journey for many years to come… Shalom and tears of gratitude.
