Follow up on Hurricane Michael
I previously posted a prayer request from David Fernandez in Port St. Joe. Now I have some information from another Torah group in Dothan, AL.
Hello to all of you!
Jamie, several of us in Dothan and I know David Fernandez, his family and his ministry quite well. David is a strong believer in Messiah and does so much for his area in Port St. Joe.
As you know, Hurricane Michael hit that area very hard and there are many there in great need. I know you are asked from many agencies to help folks but I implore you to consider sending something to help these folks out. Most do not have power and supplies. Contributions to David’s ministry will be distributed fairly and to those who need it the most.
Please send your donation to :
Altar Ministries, 144 Finch Lane, Wewahitchka, Fl 32465
Gift cards could be used for places like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Trying to send them actual supplies would be expensive. But a check to the ministry could afford a tax benefit to the sender!
May the Heavenly Father bless you richly!
Thank you for the info. I wrote a check today that will go out in tomorrow’s mail. May God be with all the people in Port St. Joe as they work hard to recover from the destruction of Hurricane Michael.
Prayers will continue as well.
I will be helping. Is the address you supplied able to accept mail? Meaning with all the devastation is this a good address or is there a better one.
Thank you for posting this and allowing me to help.
As far as I know, this is a good address.
Sorry I am late responding, as we have been a bit busy. First off thank you to the person who originally sent this to Skip. You are a true brother in Messiah. Thank you Skip for being the first one checking on us and asking what we needed! And thank you to those who have responded. There are heart-breaking needs everywhere. Anything sent/received will be surely appreciated and distributed to those who are in need.
I also want to thank our Dothan, Al. followers of the way for the supplies and food you sent. You will never know what your kindness has meant to our family and community!
Finally, yes the address is correct and we are getting mail now.
Blessings
David
Shalom everyone,
I just wanted to update everyone. We are still without power here in our community and will be for approx. another 2 weeks they say. Most communities in the surrounding areas now have power thankfully. We have been busy cleaning, tearing out and are looking forward to being able to rebuild and replace some of what has been lost.
I want to thank all of our brothers and sisters who have sent and are sending help to us. As we rebuild I will try to update with pictures. When you send donations, if you would like, please include an email so that we can correspond directly if you would like and I can let you know how your donation is being used.
Blessings
David and Cindy
