Conference in Canada
In our journey of seeking to walk in a deeper relationship with God, we came across Skip Moen. His studies and books helped us to identify some of our paradigms concerning God and religion. It has been an eye opening adventure and we wish to invite you to experience his insights.
Please forward to any persons that you believe would be interested in this conference.
You are invited to hear Skip Moen on June 14-15th2019, at the St-Patrick’s Chapel in Shannon. To reserve your place and for additional information, call David Payant at 418-580-4776
Skip has worn many hats during his career. A human resources consultant to some of the biggest companies in America, a development manager of an important charity fund-raising project, an author of many books, articles and studies, Skip holds a Ph.D. from Oxford, is a philosopher, theologian and counselor and a devoted researcher of the history of ideas. He will help you understand the worldview and cultural circumstances that shaped the writing of the Bible.
Why does this matter? The answer is straightforward. While the Bible is a crucial religious source of our knowledge of God, it is also an ancient document that records the interaction of aparticular people with a particular God. What they wrote about these encounters is conditioned by their situations, often laced with politics, crisis, trauma, social and historical circumstances.
If you really desire to know what these writers wanted to express about God, you must know what they thought about their audience, their circumstances and their vision of God’s purposes which is often very different than the adaptation of ancient Semitic thought to Western civilization.
If you want to know what the Bible meant to the people who first heard its messages, then you need to know about this radically different worldview. That’s what engages Skip.
A gifted teacher, dynamic lecturer and determined investigator, Skip will help you see levels of meaning in the biblical text that are missing in translation. He will encourage exploration into the human dynamics that permeate the biblical stories and, assuredly, will change your way of reading the Bible and understanding its place in your life.

Can we post this on Facebook? Your Greek resume is quite impressive, but it is your Hebrew resume that is quite beautiful and one I am sure that pleases YHVH.
Sure. Post wherever you think people might be interested in coming.
