Venice Under Wraps
This was taken in St. Mark’s square. Something most tourists don’t even see, but then maybe my eye is a bit different. We just went to Venice by train for two days. There are absolutely no tourists there (well, a few maybe). It was surreal. Usually the place is packed, but now after COVID there is no one around. Most of the hotels and restaurants, including the more famous ones, are closed. Many of the main attractions were also closed (like Doge Palace) but it was great to walk without having to push our way through the crowds. I’ll send a few photos over the next couple of days. This is the drapery hanging above the restaurant in St. Mark’s.
