Update on Malachi James Moen, born 29 July 2022

As you know, my grandson, Malachi, was born a few days ago under difficult conditions.  I asked you to pray for him as he was having seizures following birth.  Those have stopped.  The neurologist has determined that he had a mild hematoma to part of his brain during delivery.  While he appears to be responding normally now, this blood clot may have long-term effects on his motor skills on the right side of his body.  It is too early to tell, but the risk may increase as he grows.  It doesn’t look like he has any cognitive damage.

NOW, I am asking you to stand with me in a prayer like this:

Father God, we praise you for what you have already done rescuing Malachi from immediate serious and life-threatening danger.  But we ask for more.  We ask that he be entirely healed, that he be restored to the fully functioning normal human boy that you desired.  We ask that this be accomplished in a way that cannot be attributed to simple medical science or ordinary growth.  In other words, Lord, we want You to be glorified in the miraculous, in a child that defies medicine in a completely normal life.  We ask this because You care, and we want this record to show that You do—in a way that cannot be written off as anything but Your handiwork for Your name’s sake.
