la cena dei mille

Sometimes people ask us why we moved to Italy.  After we explain the connection to Rosanne’s grandparents, we often talk about how different life is here.  Well, a few days ago we came across another perfect example.  On September 5th of each year, the restaurants in the area offer “la cena dei mille” – dinner for 1000 people – right down the center of the main street of Parma.  It’s a charity event unlike any other anywhere.  See if you don’t think so with this short video, and, buon appetito.  CLICK HERE
