Waterfalls

I love waterfalls, especially when I can get the water to look silky smooth.  There’s a trick to that.  You have to shoot very slow, like 1/8 of a second.  So you need to adjust the ISO and the aperture to reduce the light of a normal exposure.  Or you can use a neutral density filter (if you happen to have one with you).  Regardless, the biggest issue is going to be steadiness.  The camera must be absolutely still at 1/8 of a second.  Try doing that handheld in the rain.  Not possible.  You have to find a rock-solid spot or use a tripod.  Then, have fun!
