Wow – thanks Skip for sharing this! Our Father in Heaven is such an Artist. I see Him in photo’s like this.
We bless You Father for Your creation that we can enjoy freely and that You sustain it without measure.
Abba Father You ravish our hearts! Thank You Abba Father.

Hmmm last week we saw the lovely little Angels floating around the pretty flowers
Yet this one looks a little more like the Darth Vader of the butterfly world
yeah I guess it was Plato who said we spend most of our time in a “cave” looking for the light
and maybe there is no imagination in the light, where evrything is clear
and it was one of my favorite songs 🙂
Darkness, Darkness
Be my pillow
Take my hand
And let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deep
Darkness, Darkness
Hide my yearning
For the things I cannot be
Keep my mind from constant turning
Toward the things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see
Darkness, darkness,
Long and lonesome,
Is the day that brings me pain.
I have felt the edge of sadness,
I have known the depth of fear.
Darkness, darkness, be my blanket,
Cover me with the endless night,
Take away, take away the pain of knowing,
Fill the emptiness of right now,
Emptiness of right now, now, now
Emptiness of ri-ight now.
Darkness, darkness, be my pillow,
Take my hand, and let me sleep.
In the coolness of your shadow,
In the silence, the silence of your deep.
Darkness, darkness, be my blanket,
Cover me with the endless night,
Take away, take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now,
Emptiness of right now now now
Emptiness of right….
Oh yeah Oh yeah
Emptiness, emptiness
Oh yeah
Signs of Life (1968)
Fata Morgana (1971)
Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972)
Hi Jan,
I don’t disagree
Speaking of CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS by Herzog, I think it is a masterpiece!
I was first introduced to Herzog by Manny Farber, an artist and master teacher of film form
When Aguirre came to the US in the early 70’s and I was a student at UCSD
About the same time, I was introduced to a conceptualization of the [imaginary | real]
Neither of which, according to some, is the actual Real
Which is equally elusive, philosophically speaking 🙂

What amazing color — wonderful shot!

lOVELY SHOT, THE flowering shrub is lantana, they are native to TX and many areas. I have hybrid ones in our yard. With the extreme draugth here, they have stopped blooming here this year. I hopped out with a broken foot, to check the yard at seven a.m. today, and although Ed is trying to keep as much of the yard alive, it all can not be. —- The native lantana that Ed and his golfing buddy an Attorney and head of Investigating Reporting at TX Tech in Lubbock, dug up from their ranch 18 miles out of our Central TX town, and planted in our front yard ten years ago, took over the huge bed. Through the years I dug it up and replaced it with hybrid lantana. It stays within bounds and does not smell as bad as the native! Butterflies like both though. —We have tall ( two story high) crepe myrtles blooming now, and also a flowering pink weeping-willow that is blooming also.
Almost everything else the heat and lack of rain has burned up. Even the front page of the local paper had a full color picture of a cow stuck in the mud trying to get water, of a one-time lake. The ranchers regularly have to go out to check, and pull them out of the mud.—so sad—. Ed took all but 20 of the goats to market last Friday. There is no hay to buy, and no grass to graze, but can buy corn and vitamins for them.— Sorry to bring up reality, but DRAUGHT IS REAL IN TX.— but God is still on His throne, and we are thankful for what is available! L.B.
I am sorry to hear about the drought in Texas & we have it too here in Oklahoma but this week we have had rain almost every day – a little bit for sure. The ground in my yard is still dark & soft from the good rains we have received from the Lord this week & the temps have also been much cooler but it is in the 100’s again today. we did get somewhat of a good reprieve from the drought & sun/temps – hopeful God will move Texas too… ♥

Thanks Skip,
Lovely green colours. Do butterflies help to pollinate, as well as the bees?

With him we can see the dark Angel of Doom 🙂
Yeah, that’s why I like it. Also much more difficult to shoot as he rarely is still.
“he rarely is still”
Hmmm 🙂
“Move” must be the motto of these little “mobile devices.”
Michael – what are you typing/talking about this morning – must your focus always be on the darkness??? ♥

i’m sure you have an explanation for all the “dark” comments… ♥

Michael, the cave will one day be discovered by the light if there is purpose & enlightenment:
http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2843843865/ CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS…
the imagination will “always” exist because HE created it – the light is there – can you not see it???
such as with the lions of Africa or anywhere…

Would be great if they do!
