Battered Women Appeal

Dear Readers of Today’s Word.

On my last trip to South Africa, I was once again faced with the reality of lives battered by endemic poverty.  I spoke at length with the author of Poor White, an expert in this field.  We agreed that the problems are enormous in both White and Black communities.

Then I got a message from a woman near Cape Town.  Her name is Aliyah.  She is involved in a center for women who have been beaten, raped, abused and treated terribly.  Many of these women are very young.  They have nothing.  But they escaped and Aliyah is trying to help them rebuild their lives.

Aliyah has read Guardian Angel and she wants me to come to her group to teach them what God intended for them.  They need to hear that God has not abandoned them regardless of the way they have been treated.  So, I am agreeing to go.  This is a mission that needs to be done.

AND I NEED YOUR HELP

I just need help to get from Jo’berg to Cape Town and back.  I will do everything else.  So, if you are willing to  help me reach out to these women, please offer something toward the transportation.  I will get to South Africa if you will do the rest.

We are excited about your trip to South Africa and would like to invite you to share a morning with us on the 11^th of October. A friend runs a ministry in a very poor area with ladies who have literally been through hell and back but oh how they love Yeshua! Many (most in fact) have experienced abuse, broken marriages, frequent beatings, lack of self worth and hurt unimaginable. The ministry has been doing amazing work through the Ruach of Yah and only through Yeshua’s love to restore these women and to encourage them to live in the fullness of their destiny and potential as women. Skip, we would love for you to come and share the morning with these ladies and share the message of Guardian Angel with them. They need to hear (as we all do!) this message for women. Not only for healing but also for their self worth and for the road ahead for many of them. The morning will be slightly informal and will be in a home of one of the ladies. They are unable to pay for the event, as I am sure you understand but we would nonetheless love for you to share the morning with us. There will be about 15 ladies or so and you will feel most welcome and I am sure it will be an experience for yourself and for them… Their lives represent the lives of millions who live in South Africa, this is what it is all about! Hope you can join!
