Reconsidering “Ordinary” Blessings

Beautiful. Skip reminds me of India my first time of missionary work along the streets a cardboard box Full House was considered a luxury. A piece of flat stone for a dinner plate. Reality check who are we to think we are any better? We are all the same in the Lord’s eyes. The less we have the less we can lose simplicity she is beautiful.

Diogenes is still in his sewer pipe and we all still sense what we have lost. I like what Bro Brett said about simplicity.

Thank you Skip for sharing these photos. Whenever there is a probability of inclement weather and I prepare for possible loss of electricity or running water, no ability to cook, bathe, use the bathroom without thought, (the comfortable living I experience every day) it causes me to realize– not that I am more blessed than others–but as was stated a
“reality check” on what I take for granted and consider “reality”. This has me back reading “The Lucky Life” !

Looks very familiar; I’m headed to Manila in a weeks. Blessings on your travels.

And I was going to complain about what?

I know what you mean. You are blessed to see these things live and not just in pictures.
