This lecture discusses those theological and philosophical assertions that actually create separation between God and men. Purporting to be essential biblical ideas, these assertions are really motivated by deep assumptions about God and human beings, usually in opposition to the plain reading of the biblical text. The result pushes God out of the intimate involvement with humanity described in the Bible.
