We live in Babylon. We live in a place where God’s instructions for abundant life are ignored, rejected or unknown in our culture. We live in exile from the Garden. So we want to know, “What should I do when I’m in Babylon?” “How should I live so that I honor God and still survive?”

These lectures were given to a synagogue assembly. By examining what God said to His people when they went into exile in Babylon, I believe we can unravel what it means to live in our own contemporary culture. God gave His people specific steps to take in a specific order and He promised that if they did what He asked, they would flourish. It’s probably time for us to take the same advice and flourish even in a world that opposes the one true God.
