Yes, it IS nice to be reminded that God is a master watercolorist too! And… it’s nice that he provided us with a master photographer to help us along with our “remembering.”

Thanks Skip… the photograph is stunning. What a wonderful sight to take in this Sunday morning.

Hope your teaching seminar goes well in Indiana. If John wasn’t traveling, we would try and entice you to stop over in Chicago for a visit. Too bad.

Not too bad at sculpture either if this picture is any indication!

And…did anyone notice that the rock formations at the end look like two giant lizards having a conversation. The one on the left looks like the Ezer, having a little “chat” with hubby.

Michael

“like two giant lizards”

Hi Judy,

To me it looks like a large snake or alligator on the left and a giant fish on the right.

And together that rock and water formation can create a deadly undertow for the unsuspecting tourist.

I’ve seen a number of tourists drown in water just like this.

Great photography; but it would have an ominous look to me, even if it weren’t Aruba.

BTW

A few weeks ago, I mentioned the beautiful house my friends Michele and David had bought their daughter and her husband at 711 Corona overlooking the beach.

About 20 years ago, I was surfing that very beach and saw 5 big, young, Samoans without wetsuits and drinking beer swim into the rip tide and drown within minutes.

I never went back to that beach until a few weeks ago and I had never mentioned the incident to anyone until I made the comment about the “tourists” and the Aruban “undertow.”

A G-d moment (for sure!). I love to say it and know it- “G-d did that!” Isn’t He Beautiful! Another (aren’t there bajillions?) affirmation of His holy word(s): “To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)
Yes… “He IS”.. just a little bit “more” than we know- isn’t He? Already with just three people “testifying” we have an Artist, A Sculptor, and now the “Source of all Music”. What a “mighty G-d” we serve!!
Breath in and out brother Skip (inhale deeply) and tell us of the air there…

Mary

MAGNIFICENT!…THE GOD WE SERVE.

May I add…HALLELUJAH!!

Beautiful picture. Where is it? Looks like a big alligator about to bite the head off of a bull dog. 🙂

Michael

Where is it?

Hi Llowell,

The pointer on my mouse tells me that it is “Aruba.”

Do you remember the young, female, coed who was murdered in Aruba?

The story is too horrifying to tell, but suffice it to say her body was dumped out there in the ocean.

For me, the picture introduced a theme of “In the Middle” and the word “splanchnon:”

This word means a deep and gut-wrenching emotional tidal wave, a complete identification with another and a tragic rage over injustice, a rage that is expressed in weeping collapse. “How could something like this happen?” “What kind of men would do such a thing?” “What is this world like that such injustice and disregard for life can occur?”

Utterly gorgeous!

So much movement in this photo. It reminds me of tumultuous emotion! Thank you for capturing this sight, Skip.
