Bessy’s “Thank You”
I received this email from Bessy. You will remember that we as a group helped her after the sudden death of her husband in Honduras.
“When I saw the “stuff” I saw that most of it were things of little monetary value, but I know that if I had been the one sorting things I would have had a much harder time deciding what to keep and what to throw away. It was very sad to see a lifetime reduced to a few boxes, but at the end, all lifetimes are reduced to boxes – even we get placed in one. It was hard to go through his things, and I understand how much pain you saved me by discarding things that would have probably ended in some sort of shrine somewhere, useless things of someone we loved once.
Thank you. I don´t have your word skills, I can´t express how I feel. You stood between me and a lot more pain. You moved strangers to stand there with you to protect me and keep me from further harm. May God bless you.”
Shalome Shalome Dear sister.
Skip,
Thank you for a update on Bessy. I went into the archives and followed her story. I was moved by the compassion of this community and how God was able to use it to respond to a need in so many practical ways.
