What wonderful pictures – in the face of adversity their resilience is amazing. I leave for Israel on Sunday – going for three months for various things – to bless the land/do business and hopefully finally learn some hebrew a couple of days a week (if I can find a relaxed ulpan that fits my schedule! – any ideas anyone?) I will be at a friends in Jerusalem 1st month and then some time with a friend in Tiberias…then not sure. Would welcome your prayers.
I have not been on the blog much as I travel between Ethiopia/UK and dont often have wifi. Haile and I were with my brother in Comox BC Canada for three months helping my brother in his business, so our lives been a bit hectic – then my car died on the motorway three weeks ago!
Anyway, I try to read and keep up with all your ‘conversations’ when I can and its a joy to hear comments/experiences but mostly how much we all want to glorify our creator and walk in his ways. YHWH has tested Haile and I these last 3/4 years but we can only say we have grown and have been learning to enjoy the journey – having Skip to read (when we can) has helped in that journey; thanks Skip!
Found this talk by Skip – sent by my friend Arnella really good.
Just listened to the Salem, Oregon teaching on Genesis. What a treat. I almost felt like I was there. The more I listen, the more I want to listen more. :-)))
Big Thank you, Christine for posting this link. Nothing compares to Skip (teachings) on videos! :- )
Shalom!

Thanks Skip, The picture reminded me of my first trip to Israel. The Coffee Bagel shop is just down from Moshe’ shop. One my favorite memories was sharing a bagel and conservation with a young Israeli.

A close up of the second picture reminds me of Nehemiah leading the rebuilding of the wall (Neh 4:15-23).

Skip, It is an unfortunate by-product of allowing those who avow to do us harm, and do us harm at every opportunity, to live among us, unabated. The Israeli’s are peaceful, inventive, hopeful people… They are also quite resourceful. I wrote an article a few weeks ago that reminded me of your piece called the “Religion of Pieces.” I say that often in my speeches, but I quoted your article verbatim – giving due credit and plugging this site of course, on yesterdays show. “The Collision of Faith and Politics!” http://www.blogtalkradio.com/TheNinjaPastor
In dealing with Islam and terrorism professionally for decades I can tell you, your conclusions are the ONLY solution to the violence foisted upon the innocent. While we give OUR children pink anti bullying shirts THEY are training THEIR children to KILL OUR children and our future. They don’t just SAY it, they DO it! Thanks for staying after it and doing what you do.

Obviously you got the weapon of the guy in the middle, did you notice the obvious (or not) weapon for the other guy? I almost missed it.

Top picture , what R they celebrating? Check out the guy with the shirt that look like like stars and stripes, they all seems so happy, even in adversity that’s how we should all be thank you Skip!l
Israel is so beautiful and it is a happy place. I was there almost 30 years ago. These pictures of yours touched my heart, as I reflect back on my trip there during the Feast of Tabernacles. Shalom

There were guns everywhere there. Military guns and civilians with guns. In holsters, hooked on belt loops all in everyday activities. Was I scared? Absolutely not. I sensed a secure place where select stupid idiots try to create fear through terrorism and cowardliness. The people in these pictures are real, they are alive, and they are proactive in protecting their families, their friends, and their country. I salute them, pray with and for them and stand with them. And I so appreciated the joy and unity they exhibited when we all had the privilege of watching them dance and sing on Shabbat at HaKotel. What an inspiring sight.
