Bessy’s “Thank You”

I received this email from Bessy.  You will remember that we as a group helped her after the sudden death of her husband in Honduras.

“When I saw the “stuff” I saw that most of it were things of little monetary value, but I know that if I had been the one sorting things I would have had a much harder time deciding what to keep and what to throw away. It was very sad to see a lifetime reduced to a few boxes, but at the end, all lifetimes are reduced to boxes – even we get placed in one. It was hard to go through his things, and I understand how much pain you saved me by discarding things that would have probably ended in some sort of shrine somewhere, useless things of someone we loved once.

Thank you. I don´t have your word skills, I can´t express how I feel. You stood between me and a lot more pain. You moved strangers to stand there with you to protect me and keep me from further harm. May God bless you.”
