Beautiful! Where were these taken? Reminds me of Baloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque but there is too much green for it to be in NM. Imagine six hundred of those in the sky at the same time! You should come to Albuquerque first week in Sept. A photog’s dream!
Yes, I should. Are you extending an invitation? Rosanne and I were flying over Champion’s Gate, south of Orlando.

Looks refreshing.
Immediately brought to mind those intrepid French and English balloonists who first went aloft as described in The Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes. One can imagine how stunned they were by their first rise into the ether.
Nice!

Nothing like capturing the moment, nice shots! Hope You had a marvelous time together.
Wow, what a celebration experience. What beautiful pictures! I especially liked the reflective ones—the glory of reflected beauty. Isn’t that what our lives are designed to be????May the blessings continue. Evelyn

The balloon ride makes me think of King Lear’s ego.
Inflated by the flames of his desire and the support of his loyal subjects, up up up it goes.
But the higher and bigger the balloon gets, the closer it gets to the sun
And if it gets too close to the sun, it will burst into flames.
And come crashing back down to earth.
Humbled.
It can happen to loyal subjects too 🙂

We did, thanks. This has been on Rosanne’s list since she was a child.
Love the picture of the ballon reflected in the large marsh.
Yeah, that was particularly nice.

Didn’t know we would have company until we got to the launch site, but it was great. Gives perspective.
