I was about 8 feet away and INSIDE the fence when I shot the pictures of the Cheetah.

Wow, it makes me long for the ocean. I can hear it and smell it, just from the picture!

Inside the fence (hen) giving thanks to G-d who is (hannun verahum) gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and relenting of evil. (Joel 2.13)
Beautiful pictures of the goodness and grace of our ADONAI.

“Melach” and “Melech”
“Melach” – (m.); Salt; Sodium Chloride (NaCl); a basic substance of Nature, but one which plays a crucial role in the spiritual life of the Jew. Because it was used until modern times as an effective preservative, it carries the connotation of “eternity;” as in Bamidbar 18:19 where the gifts of the sacrifices are described as “Brit Melach Olam Hi,” “An Eternal Salt-Covenant.”
Its association with the idea of a “covenant,” designed as a long-lasting agreement, makes it a perfect metaphor for the agreement between G-d and the Jewish People concerning their observance of the Torah, which is to last forever.
“Melech” – (m.; pl. “melachim”); King; as in “David, Melech Yisrael, Chai V’Kayam,” “David, King of Israel, lives and exists.”
Hi,
The beach above looks a lot the one up in Pacifica, where my friends Michelle and David bought a house not long ago on Corona Road.
And last night I watched a movie called Salt with my daughter and son.
The conjunction of these two events made me think of “Melach” and “Melech.”

Always difficult to capture the real thing as you experience there and then. You have captured more than just the sea in this great pic!

Beautiful stuff Skip. Do you use any filters besides what you have in Photoshop? I have used nik color Efex Pro on my photography from Israel and Australia. If you don’t have it it’s a great package of filters that creates some incredible moods in your photos.
Beautiful images. Thank you for sharing with us.
