It’s amazing to me that we get a sunset every single day, no two are alike, and they all look a little different depending on where we are standing.
Last night, my kids were playing together while I had my head buried in something I was reading (probably this blog…). Suddenly they stopped and stared out the window and said, “MOM! Look!!” I glanced up to see them at the window, staring at the sky, which was ablaze with orange and pink and lavender. My son grabbed my camera and they all three ran outside. We stayed out there together watching the colors change through the tall pines in our backyard. The lavender faded and the pink-orange intensified, then deepened into red. It was beautiful, and I was thankful for my kids who remind me that sometimes I need to take a break from all the reading, reading, reading about God and instead go out into creation and see what He is actually doing. 🙂
Beautiful photo, Skip.

God paints a different sunset every evening and a different sunset in every place. I’m told he does the same for sunrises also. 🙂

I love these words: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Even when the sky is clouded and dark, I know that the sun and the blue sky are still there. Oh, the joy of ascending above the clouds on an airplane to see the brightness of the heavens–God’s smile!
Beautiful
