you are such a treasure Skip, and i don’t find anything you say offensive – quite the contrary, it is all very exciting and challenging. but then again i am one of those weird people who like change! so keep challenging us with all the gentleness and kindness and humility that i have seen in you thus far. shalom christine (adelaide, sth oz).

Thanks Skip for the gorgeous photos. I also enjoy your intensity and honesty even though it may be hard at times. Just keep doing all the Lord has called you to do in your unique way. I appreciate the push. Blessings in 2010.

May The Father continue to bless your heart and mind with His thoughts, ways and wisdom. Today’s Word is place of refuge for me and my wife. You are an extension of our Father’s love and I am most grateful for your seeking and generous heart.

I did not know you celebrate Christmas Day. You have been teaching about Hebrew Words and their meaning. It does not have any proof in the biblical sense that Christmas Day is acceptable Yesterday, Today, or Tomorrow. I have been trying to email you, but I have gotten no response. Please don’t wish me any pagan holidays. They are not truth. Is it possible to get a refund on my $25.00 donation?
Blessing on you, Richard. I have not received any emails from you. Sorry. Believe me, I would have responded to your discomfort. Perhaps I wasn’t quite clear about Christmas. I enjoy Christmas because it allows me to see family and watch grandchildren express delight over presents. I am certainly aware that Christmas is not about Yeshua and that it has a pagan origin, but I also recognize that almost all of my family and friends have no idea about this and will have to come to terms with the true history on their own. So, I view Christmas like any other national holiday. Like the Fourth of July, it has no particular religious significance, but it offers a chance to enjoy the company of others (which, by the way, is a good Torah practice). Perhaps others feel that they cannot participate in any cultural expectations surrounding this particular day. I think for me it’s possible to know that God loves these family members, that I am there to celebrate my relationships with them, and if they ask why I don’t eat ham, tell them the story. So, if that’s celebrating Christmas, I guess I’m guilty. Not a single bit of this enjoyment of being with my family alters any of the Hebraic understanding of the truth behind God’s festivals.
I’m sorry you felt discontentment with my position. I will most certainly refund the money. Of course, the money wasn’t for me. It went to lots of other people in need in this community. But this is really a great moment in rabbinic thinking. We can disagree and still love Elohim and each other. So, blessings on you, my dear friend, for being a stalwart proponent of purity. May you find a community of like-minded followers who will provide you with all you need.
I tried to email you to ask for the address to send a refund, but I received a message that you are not accepting emails from me. Perhaps you are a bit more upset than I imagined. I wonder if you are finding relief in this.

The pictures are beautiful, Skip. One of the things I have enjoyed this year is that when I am behind on my blog reading your photographs offer me the opportunity to still stay connected. Throughout the entire year I’ve found them interesting, informative, and inspirational. You’ve even inspired me to get a DSLR and try my hand and capturing images that paint words.
May 2010 be another wonderful year of learning and growing together!
